Prime Minister Hun Manet has congratulated the achievements of the Ministry of Inspection and encouraged more active inspection work to further improve the state institution reform for the national development.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Inspection held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel & Residence yesterday, Hun Manet said the ministry is one of the state institutions playing a key role in implementing the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy-Phase 1 to further improve the national governance and cleanliness in the public sector.

The Premier called on the Ministry of Inspection to continue conducting effective inspection in the public administration.

Minister of Inspection Huot Hak said that in the new context of reform in the field of inspection and to meet the Royal Government’s vision to promote integrity, transparency, accountability and cleanliness in public administration, the Ministry of Inspection has set out four priority work plans.

They include institutional capacity strengthening, human capital development, relevant law and regulation drafting, and maintenance of a harmonious environment within the ministry both at the national and sub-national levels, the Minister pointed out.AKP
