Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), Sun Chanthol, today presided over a courtesy call and farewell meeting with Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Cambodia, upon the successful completion of the Ambassador’s diplomatic mission.

During the cordial meeting, Chanthol expressed his profound appreciation for Ambassador Darmosumarto’s active efforts throughout his mandate, which significantly contributed to strengthening the long-standing friendship and expanding cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, and investment.

Both sides highlighted several key achievements, including enhanced business connectivity and increased trade and investment flows, facilitated through exchange visits between Indonesian and Cambodian investors. These initiatives helped improve mutual understanding of investment opportunities and supported Indonesian companies currently operating, as well as those planning to expand their operations, in the Kingdom.

In response, Ambassador Darmosumarto expressed his deepest gratitude to the government and the CDC for their strong cooperation and continued facilitation, which he said were instrumental in ensuring the success of his diplomatic mission.

Despite the conclusion of his mandate, the Ambassador reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to serve as a bridge between the two countries by actively promoting Cambodia’s investment potential, and opportunities to the Indonesian business community, to further strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.

In conclusion, Chanthol extended his best wishes to Ambassador Darmosumarto for success in his future endeavours and expressed confidence that the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia will continue to grow for the mutual benefit of both nations.
