Chinese FM to visit Cambodia from April 21–23

Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, also Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi will pay an official visit to Cambodia from April 21 to 23.

“During the visit, Wang Yi will be granted a royal audience by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace. He will also pay separate courtesy calls on President of the Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet,” according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s press release on Thursday (April 18).

“Wang Yi will co-chair, with First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, the Seventh Cambodia-China Intergovernmental Coordination Committee Meeting. He will also hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea to exchange views on further consolidating close and excellent bilateral ties spanning wide-ranging areas.

The visit coincides with the Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year and will contribute to further strengthening the ironclad friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, deepening the building of a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard community with a shared future, promoting the Diamond Cooperation framework, and stimulating collaboration across regional and international platforms, thus mutually benefiting the two nations and peoples.”
