American Philanthropist Donates Beef for qurban to 450 Cambodian Muslim Families equal to 2650 people in Kampong Chhnang province on the Raya Haji in 2023
Kampong Chhnang: Fourteen cows for Qurban, donated by American Muslim philanthropists through the Zakat Foundation of America, were distributed to Cambodian Muslims in Kampong Chhnang province, Tuol Pong Ror, and Ou Roung village, Kampong Tralach district, to celebrate the Raya Haji which was held on June 29, 2023.
His Excellency Sles Nazy, Advisor to the Ministry of Information and President of the Cambodia Muslim Media Center, which has partnered with the Zakat Foundation of America, said this at a distribution of beef trophies in Tuol Pong Ror and Ou Rong villages, Kampong Tralach district that this is the eighth year that the Cambodia Muslim Media Center has implemented of distribution of beef for Cambodian Muslim founded by the Zakat Foundation of America. Separately, in 2023 received funds to buy 14 cows for meat to distribute to nearly 450 Khmer Muslim families, equivalent to 2650 people living in Kampong Chhnang province.
His Excellency expressed his pleasure and gratitude to the American philanthropists who contributed to this project in the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood. H.E Sles Nazy also reminded the people who participated in receiving beef to know how to unite and contribute to community development. Because the spirit of Hajj, especially the chanting of the oxen, it shows the spirit of devotion and unity, as well as the shared culture that Islam has taught since the time of the Prophet Ibrahim.
His Excellency also prayed to Allah to bless the donors and strongly hoped that the Zakat Foundation of America would continue to support this and other development projects for the cause of the community and our nation.
The Cambodian Muslims who received the beef and the authorities expressed their happiness and gratitude to the donors and the team of the Cambodia Muslim Media Center for their support of the beef.
It should be noted that the distribution project has been part of the annual humanitarian program that the Cambodia Muslim Media Center has been implementing in collaboration with philanthropists and foreign associations in order to raise the common spirit and share for the Community.
