On Saturday, the Ministry of Civil Service announced that 1,347 candidates, among nearly 40,000, passed the exam for new primary school teachers. In contrast, Hun Many, Minister of Civil Service, announced that the exam process was completed successfully.
Many said all the candidates made an effort to pass the exam. However, 1,347 candidates were successful, and 876 of them were women.
He congratulated the successful candidates who passed and encouraged those who were unsuccessful to try again in the next round of exams.
“The Royal Government, through the Ministry, has provided opportunities for candidates to use their capabilities to become primary school teachers by taking the exam,” he said.
The Ministry ensured that all the candidates were treated equally without any favouritism to any individual. Those who passed can be proud of their achievement; those who did not pass must not despair but try again in the next round of exams,” he added.
According to the Ministry, it organised the exam according to the 2023 Framework Plan for training in the 12+4 and 12+2 systems established by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport.
The Ministry said that primary school teachers in the 12+4 training system will undergo a four-year training period, while those in the 12+2 training system will study for two years.
