Zakat Foundation of America continued to distribute Ramadan Iftar Food Packages to the Muslim community in Cambodia

 Kratie: A head of Ramadan ,the holy month of Islam which is expected to come on 12 March , it is noticed that organizations, associations and philanthropists is busy with their activities of contributing food packages to needy Muslims , orphans and the elderly to contribute to their daily Iftar expense, as well as to get the reward from Allah from this donation in the holy month of Ramadan.

Under the Financial Support from Zakat Foundation of America, On March 10, 2024, in Chrab Thmey Village, Pi Thnou Commune Thnou, Snoul district, Kratie province, Cambodian Muslim Media Center has organized an Iftar Food Packages Distribution Ceremony, distributing 360 Ramadan food packages to 360 poor and needy families in Cambodia from 3 villages, including: Chrap Thmey village, Trapieng Sbek village, Kranhong Senchey, Snoul district of Kratie province. The ceremony was honorably attended by H.E Huot Kheang Veng, Secretary of State, High Representative, H.E Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, Dr. Sles Nazy, President of Cambodian Muslim Media Center and colleagues, Snuol district governor, Imam district, local authorities Imam Masjid, Islamic teachers and villagers.

After the welcome and report speech from the District Governor, Dr. Sles Nazy, Advisor to the Ministry of Information and President of Cambodian Muslim Media Center said that in the past, Cambodian Muslim Media Center has cooperated with Zakat Foundation of America working on many projects in Cambodia, such as the Ramadan, Qurban, Schools and Mosques construction and water wells project. Today, philanthropists in the United States through Zakat Foundation of America had donated 360 Ramadan food packages to our 360 Muslim families in Cambodia and hope to more projects to help the Community. He also expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to Zakat foundation of America and all donors for continuing allocation the fund for this Ramadan, and it was much more than last year.

H.E Huot Kheang Veng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Information, said that this is a kind contribution of Muslims in the United States in the blessed month of Ramadan, which brings joy and smiles to Muslims in Cambodia, especially in Snuol district, Kratie province. On behalf of the local authorities and people in Kratie Province a, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Muslim philanthropists in the United States through Zakat Foundation of America, in collaboration with the Cambodian Muslim Information Center for providing Ramadan Aid in food packages for Muslims in Cambodia, He added. Lastly, H.E Veng wished all donors and team works healthy, wealthy and May Allah accepts all our good deed in this Ramadan 2024. It should be informed that Iftar food package given per family including 1 bag of rice (50 kg), 1 carton noodle, 3 cans of milk, 3 cans of fish, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of salt, 1 bottle of syrup, 2 liters of cooking oil, and a half kilogram of Date fruit. Zakat foundation of America is one of the big Muslim NGOs which is cooperating with its partners around the world to distribute the iftar program and thousands of people benefit from it .
