The commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting between Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra and Sonexay Vannaxay, the newly appointed Lao Ambassador to Cambodia, at the Ministry of Information on June 12.
During the meeting, both sides highly valued the longstanding friendship, solidarity and close cooperation between Cambodia and Laos, noting that bilateral ties have continued to expand across various sectors, including information and media.
Pheaktra welcomed Ambassador Sonexay to Cambodia and expressed the ministry’s readiness to continue working closely with the Lao Embassy to enhance information exchanges, share professional experiences and strengthen cooperation between media institutions in both countries.
The two sides also discussed preparations for a special photo exhibition. The exhibition will showcase the history of bilateral relations, high-level visits by leaders of both countries and key achievements in cooperation over the decades.
The event is expected to serve as an important platform to highlight the enduring friendship and growing partnership between the two nations.
Sonexay thanked the ministry for its warm welcome and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with Cambodia to strengthen media cooperation and improve information dissemination.
