H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, received here on July 8 H.E. Martin Vávra, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a courtesy call and farewell.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the continuous development of relations between the two countries, especially the good cooperation in all sectors, including tourism, and that this cooperation will continue to be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of both countries and the people of both countries.
In response, H.E. Minister congratulated H.E. Ambassador on successfully completing his diplomatic mission in Cambodia.
He expressed his high appreciation for H.E. Ambassador’s efforts and good cooperation in the past, and requested H.E. Ambassador to help promote the actual and good political, security, economic and social situation, including investment opportunities and tourism potential of Cambodia to Czech leaders, investors and citizens.
The number of Czech tourists visiting Cambodia has been increasing steadily year by year, with nearly 4,000 in 2023 and around 6,000 in 2024. In the first five months of this year, nearly 4,000 Czech tourists visited Cambodia.AKP
