Somdech Techo Hun Sen meets with president of the Universal Peace Federation
Hun Sen, Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council to the King and President of the Cambodian People’s Party, met with Dr. Charles S. Yang, President of the Universal Peace Federation, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh Monday.
The Universal Peace Federation is a network of international and inter-religious families and institutions with representatives from all religions, governments, civil society organizations and the private sector, regardless of political affiliation.
Its aim is to unite to create a world of peace and all members are a family society that can live and work together in harmony, prosper together and respect each other under a joint commitment to cooperation through good governance.
The Universal Peace Federation has been working with leaders around the world who are willing to work together to bring peace to mankind.
The Universal Peace Federation is not a political party but values the role of political leaders play in the complex world of governance and international relations. The Federation aims to promote global peace beyond religion, race, nation, culture and politics.
The Universal Peace Federation was established in 2005 by Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Jahan Moon. The Global Peace Federation is currently headed by Dr. Thomas G. Walsh, an American headquartered in Washington, DC. The Global Peace Federation acts as a consultative body with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and has representative offices in more than 120 countries, including Cambodia.
The Federation has more than 50,000 peace ambassadors, including ambassadors and diplomats, religious leaders, civil society leaders and former leaders of states and governments around the world.General Department of National Radio of Cambodia
