Synopsis: A Solidarity March will be held on Wednesday to demonstrate will, spirit, and support for the government and border troops.Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), will lead a Solidarity March to pay tribute to the army and promote patriotism tomorrow morning.

The walk will start from Koh Pich to the city centre.

A press release from his office said the march aims to contribute to national defence through a demonstration of will, patriotism, and love for the nation.

It said the UYFC will organise the Solidarity March to show unity and support for the government and Cambodian frontline forces guarding the territory and sovereignty of the country based on law and legal norms.

Cambodia has no intention of claiming even a millimetre of another country’s land, but also will not allow anyone to take even a millimetre of Cambodia’s land, it said.

It noted the march will show support for the government’s measures in diplomacy, national defence, law and public security, and for Cambodia’s decision to file to the International Court of Justice to arbitrate its border dispute with Thailand.

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has informed the public of temporary traffic diversion tomorrow morning to make way for the march.

It said the organiser, UYFC, and participants will gather in front of the Koh Pich Theatre. The march will proceed toward the Independence Monument, passing through Daun Penh, Chamkar Mon, and Boeng Keng Kang districts in Phnom Penh.

Motorists are advised to avoid travelling through the affected areas from 5am until the event concludes.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the march will demonstrate support for the government’s peaceful approach toward resolving issues and protecting the integrity and territorial sovereignty of the Kingdom and the Cambodian people.

He urged everyone who wants to show will, belief, love, and support for the government and frontline forces to join the march.
