The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia has stated its commitment to further strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to contribute to the promotion of the digital revolution in Cambodia.
This was confirmed on June 5 when Sanui Kazumasa, the new Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia, was greeted by Chea Vandeth, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, for a courtesy call and to discuss activities at the Ministry’s office.
Mr. Sanui said JICA continues to work closely with the technical staff of the PTC, especially in the field of cyber security, where JICA has already prepared experts to train the technical staff of the PTC and other relevant ministries and institutions.
He also appreciated the past accomplishments and efforts of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications at this time.
In response, Minister Vandeth also thanked JICA for its willingness to participate in the development of human resources of the Ministry and relevant institutions in the field of cyber security, and requested JICA to examine the possibility of supporting other sectors.
