Oknha Ly Yong Phat, President of the Cambodian Oknha Association (COA), together with the Board of Directors of the COA, met with Mio Kawada, Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), met at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Phnom Penh this morning.
On this occasion, Phat said that Japan is a country with a thriving economy, while Japanese investors have high confidence and have contributed a lot to boost trade and investment activities that contribute to the development of the national economy, and Cambodia really needs the support from Japan. As the Prime Minister said, let Japanese investors consider Cambodia as their home.
The president of the COA stressed that the association always welcomes the cooperation between the two institutions to promote as well as attract more investment in Cambodia.
Meanwhile, Kawada said that she and the JETRO leadership were very happy to receive a warm welcome from the COA, which organised a meeting yesterday, as well as a conference and business matching programmes between businesses of the two countries.
She stressed that this is an important opportunity to promote Cambodia to the Japanese business community, as more and more Japanese investors have become interested in Cambodia.
The leaders of the two institutions agreed to further strengthen cooperation to create opportunities for partnerships between Japanese businessmen and members of the COA in the future.
