More than 300,000 tourists throng Siem Reap on New Year’s Eve

More than 300,000 tourists visited Siem Reap for three days for the New Year’s Eve celebration, from December 30, 2023 to January 1, 2024, according to the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Tourism’s report.

Ngov Sengkak, Director of the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Tourism said that there were 304,064 tourists, including 295,000 national and provincial tourists and 9,064 international tourists.

According to the same report, the main destinations of the tour were Angkor Resort, Phnom Kulen National Park Resort, Tonle Sap Area, community-based ecotourism, and other areas in the province. The tourists gathered for New Year’s Eve in Siem Reap, such as at Pub Street and at the Royal Palace Park. Kampuchea Thmey
