General Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, Commander of the Malaysian Army, met with General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and General Mao Sophan, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, yesterday to boost military ties between the two countries.Gen Pisen warmly welcomed the high-ranking Malaysian Army delegation, expressing hope that the visit would further strengthen and expand military relations, especially through discussions between senior army leaders from both nations.
Gen Sophan also held a meeting with Gen Jantan, who is currently leading an official delegation to Cambodia.
Both commanders praised the long-standing friendship between Cambodia and Malaysia, which dates back to 1957.
