Senate President Hun Sen has wished Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei a speedy recovery, following the monarch’s recent knee surgery.
The Brunei monarch has undergone a right total knee replacement at Jerudong Park Medical Centre, according to a media report.
The Sultan is currently recuperating and being monitored by the medical team, before he undergoes physiotherapy sessions.
In a letter addressed to the Sultan in Bandar Seri Begawan, Mr Hun Sen conveyed that both he and his spouse were “deeply concerned” upon learning of His Majesty’s right knee condition.
Expressing joy over the successful surgery, Mr Hun Sen wrote in the letter, “On this occasion, we offer our heartfelt prayers for Your Majesty’s speedy and full recovery and for your continued good health and well-being.”
The letter concluded with assurances of Mr Hun Sen’s “highest consideration”, reflecting the warm diplomatic relations between the two Southeast Asian nations.KhmerTime
