Highest bridge in Cambodia will open for temporary use next month

Bridge No. 28 in Pursat province – the tallest in Cambodia at 90 meters high and 530 meters long – has achieved 93% completion and is scheduled to be put into temporary use on March 18, 2025.

On Sunday morning, February 2, 2025, His Excellency Peng Purna, Minister of Public Works and Transport, visited to inspect the progress of the construction of National Road No. 10 (formerly National Road 1551).

This bridge is part of the National Road 10 construction project.

The center of the bridge is located at kilometer 128+905 and crosses the Stung Russey Chrum valley with a 90-degree intersection angle.

The upper structure has a “T” type beam, the eastern part has 4 beams, the middle part is a cable-stayed box beam with 3 beams, and the western part is a “T” type beam with 5 beams.

The lower structure has a bridge abutment and a wide beam (for the “T” type beam) using round columns and bored foundations, and the wide beam uses wall columns and bored foundations.khmertimeskh
