Cambodia’s lawsuit over the border dispute with Thailand has reached the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, confirmed on social media that on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. The Hague time, corresponding to 4:30 p.m. Phnom Penh time, Cambodia’s official letter to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to help find a solution to the border dispute in the areas of Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Moan Toch Temple, Ta Krabey Temple, and Mom Bei area was personally handed over by Ms. Sreng Thida, Cambodian Ambassador to the Netherlands, to Mr. Philippe Gautier, Registrar at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The PM also stated that Cambodia will not back down from its request to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to help resolve the Cambodia-Thailand border issues at Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Moan Toch Temple, Ta Krabey Temple, and the Mom Bei area.

The Royal Government will continue this work with determination and high responsibility to protect the territorial integrity as well as the supreme interests of the nation and the Cambodian people.
