President of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary has sent a condolence message to Reverend Sister Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, over the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.
“Throughout his papacy, Pope Francis demonstrated an unwavering commitment to compassionate leadership, profoundly impacting countless lives. His articulation of hope, practice of mercy, embodiment of love, and dedication to reconciliation resonated deeply, transcending denominational boundaries and inspiring individuals of all faiths to pursue a more peaceful, just and compassionate world,” she wrote in her condolence letter.
“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I extend my sincere condolences to the global Catholic community, the Vatican, the people of Argentina and all those who mourn this great loss. May his soul rest in peace,” she added.
His Holiness Pope Francis passed away on April 21 at the age of 88. Born on Dec. 17, 1936, he was elected the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church on Mar. 13, 2013. AKP
