: A beautiful mosque named “Al Furqan”, Funded By Zakat Foundation Of America through the Cambodian Muslim Media Center, now has been completed and was handed over for use under the honorable presence of His Excellency Dr. Sles Nazy, Advisor to the Ministry of Information and President of the Cambodian Muslim Media Center, representing the donor, in Sen Meanchey village, Krahnong Senchey commune, Snoul district, Kratie province, on September 28, 2025. The ceremony was also attended by the mosque management committee, the Imam Hakeem and a large number of students.

Speaking to the citizens who participated in the program, His Excellency Dr. Sles Nazy said: In order to contribute to the Cambodian government in community development and respond to the needs of infrastructure serving the religious sector, including the concern of citizens about the challenges, especially the lack of places of worship in some areas, the Humanitarian Assistance Office of the Cambodian Muslim Media Center, in collaboration with partner organizations, has continued to seek and support the construction of mosques in the local area.

His Excellency added that the construction of mosques is not only a response to religious needs, but also a contribution to strengthening the bonds of solidarity, peace and mutual assistance between Muslim communities of different nations and the Muslim community in Cambodia. On this occasion, His Excellency also called on citizens to take part in maintaining and using the mosque well and in accordance with the intentions of the donors who want to reap long-term benefits.

In particular, the people expressed their joy and gratitude to the donors, especially His Excellency Dr. Sles Nazy, who provided funds to build a beautiful mosque to make it easier to practice their daily faith and a place to learn about religion.

It should be noted that the “Al Furqan” mosque that was handed over to use is 10 x 12 meters in size, costing more than 40,000 dollars to build, equipped with 2 Quran study rooms, a solar system, a well, and a toilet, which was funded by American philanthropists through the Zakat Foundation Of America organization in cooperation with the Cambodia Muslim Media Center.
