The Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Tourism on the morning of January 15, 2025, jointly organised a ceremony to promote tourism and combat fake news.

The ceremony was organised under the chairmanship of Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, and Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, at the Office of the Ministry of Information.

The event to promote tourism and combat fake news aims to inform journalists more widely about Cambodia’s tourism potential and the plan to transform Cambodia into an attractive, diverse, warm, welcoming, comfortable, and safe tourist destination to continue contributing to Cambodia’s socio-economic growth.

The event on this occasion comes as Cambodia and the world are fighting fake news that has been causing confusion and impacting several sectors, including tourism.
