The minister underlined that this is a mass programme drawing the participation of people from all walks of life, advising the media teams to collaborate in widely promoting the forthcoming event both inside and outside the country.
According to Sok Sabayna, a member of the organising commission, who was also present at the preparatory meeting, “Celebrating Cambodia,” initiated by Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), will be organised on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2024, at the public park in front of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.
He pointed out that the event will feature a traditional cultural parade, folk music, a “Celebrating Cambodia” parade, and many other entertainment programmes accompanied by giant puppets, giant lanterns, and giant balloons.
“Celebrating Cambodia” is aimed to connect people, both in the country and abroad, to the entire national society. It provides a platform and opportunity for all social classes, communities and circles to show pride in their identity as one big Cambodian family. AKP
