Cambodians told to wear warm clothes as temperatures plummet

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued a notification on weather conditions in the Kingdom of Cambodia for December 21, 2023.

This situation makes from 21 to 24 December 2023:

1-Lowland area:
Minimum temperature 16-22 ° C and maximum temperature 28-30 ° C and northeast wind at 5-7 m.
– Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang and Siem Reap Minimum temperature 16-18 ° C

2-Highlands:
Minimum temperature 15-21 ° C and maximum temperature 28-30 ° C, northerly winds 6-8 m.
– Oddar Meanchey, Mondulkiri, Preah Vihear and Rattanakiri provinces, minimum temperature

3-Coastal area:
Minimum temperature 21-23 ° C and maximum temperature 30-32 ° C, winds blowing from the northeast at 1-2 meters per second – Wave height of 1,000-2.00 m.

Yesterday, Chan Yutha, Secretary of State and Spokesman of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, advised citizens to “please pay attention to health” as temperatures in Cambodia dropped.

In the face of cold weather in the coming days, Mr. Chan called on people to pay attention to health, especially young children and the elderly.

Mr. Chan stated: “Regarding the cold weather, please pay attention to health, especially children and the elderly must have thick clothing to protect in cold weather, and the other is in remote areas, mostly in the morning or at night.”
