ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia takes part in 39th ASEAN-Japan Forum in Bangkok

Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia Kung Phoak attended the 39th ASEAN-Japan Forum in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 24 to 25.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), the Forum reviewed the effectiveness of the existing ASEAN-Japan cooperation and set its future direction under the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership following the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of the ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in 2023.

The Forum placed a particular focus on partners for peace and stability, partners for the co-creation of the economy and society of the future, and heart-to-heart partners across generations.

The Forum also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interests and concerns. AKP
