Al Furqan Mosque Construction Funded by the Zakat foundation of America Begins in Kratie Province
Kratie Province, Cambodia – December 10, 2024 – The groundbreaking ceremony for the Al Furqan Mosque took place in Kratie Province, marking the start of an important religious and community project.
The construction is funded by the Zakat Foundation of America and implemented by the Cambodian Muslim Media Center (CAMM). The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sles Nazy, President of CAMM, alongside local authorities, community leaders, and residents. The 160 sqm- Mosque is located in Snoul District , Kratie Province and it attached with two Quran Classes.
Dr. Nazy emphasized the mosque’s role in fostering unity and religious devotion among the local Muslim community. The project reflects continued efforts to support religious infrastructure and cultural preservation in Cambodia. I am very happy on behalf of the villagers and grateful for the fund from Zakat Foundation of America for this project, he added.
The Al Furqan Mosque, once completed, will serve as a vital place of worship and community engagement for local Muslims.
